Jill & Teddy’s Big Day | West Michigan Wedding Photographer

Trash The Dress

I had the opportunity over the weekend to do a “trash the dress” session with the beautiful Miss Abbi! It was so much fun! The weather played games with us all day, but thankfully by the time the session rolled around, it turned out to be perfect! The clouds were even gorgeous! Thanks Abbi, it was a BLAST!! By the way, my ribs are sore…but I know nothing about anyone sneaking through a tiny fence opening for some awesome shots! lol

I loved the reaction from bystanders who happened to witness this shot. My favorite was the lady who yelled out, “NO! you’re going to ruin the dress!!” lol

Double the sweetness

These two precious cousins were born less than a week apart and are as sweet as can be. Little Eden was a sleepy little sweetie, while Mr. “Bebo” was wide awake and ready to see the world!! He did fall asleep just long enough for me to snap some sweet sleepy shots of him! And as easy as the shots of them together look, believe it or not, this took some work!! I think the wait was worth it! Thanks for coming out and letting me have fun with your little angels! It’s always so nice when the moms let me “do my thing and have fun!” Hope you like the previews!

Oh. My. Sweet. Goodness. When McKenna’s daddy emailed me about scheduling a session, he mentioned that McKenna is “as cute as they come”, and he was NOT joking. Is she not GORGEOUS?!?! Her mom probably got tired of hearing me say that over and over and over during the session. Ah, who am I kidding? No mom ever gets tired of hearing it! Such a sweet little lovey! Hope you guys enjoy this quick preview! More goodness to come later!

I just love Jenna! She’s got more personality than any 4 year old I know…probably more than most adults, too. She had me laughing the entire time…while I was shooting and during processing. I hope I did a good job of capturing “Jenna”! It would be a shame not to! We also got to shoot a few of Jenna and her beautiful mommy, too…who, I might add, looks WAY too good to be due in 5 weeks! Last night I had the pleasure of meeting Autumn. She was such a fun and easy going girl to photograph! She was up for anything and was sweet and beautiful, to boot! Props to her hair stylist, Julie, who was there on the scene, armed with her hairspray to combat those fly-aways! Julie served as an impromptu photographer’s assistant, as well. She’s got a great eye for detail! Thanks, Julie! And thanks, Autumn, for such a fun night! Here’s a preview, I hope you like them!!

Big Changes

I am happy to announce that I have upgraded to a new and improved ordering system that allows me to offer a wider variety of products, including mounting and frames, as well as other great items! It is also more user-friendly and efficient, which is a plus. Another change that ties in with this is the fact that I am unable to offer packages the way that they WERE listed on my site. However, I have come up with a new way that, I feel, is even better. (I will continue to offer packages such as the Belly to One, etc. I am only referring to the Standard Packages here). The new package system is essentially a “create your own” package system based upon the total amount of your order. This allows you to order the sizes and number of images that fits YOU and YOUR needs!

Here is what the new package pricing looks like:

*** “Create your own” packages- Now you can mix and match the images you would like in the SIZES you would like! No preset quantities or limit on number of images you choose! Customize them any way you want!

Order Amount Percentage Discount
$75-$149                         10%
$150-$249                       15%
$250-$399                      20% (CD available for $150)
$400 and above            20% (includes hard cover book of images and CD is available for $100)

One other change is that there will now be a 3 week ordering deadline on all orders, unless otherwise specified, for workflow purposes and to keep things running smoothly and efficiently.

Another change I’m excited to announce, is that I am going to start offering a number of “portrait parties” every month. For more information about this, or to host a party, please email me! The hostess receives some great incentives!

Little Miss McKenna

Last week, I had the opportunity to photograph sweet McKenna for her 2 year portraits. We were able to do them at her Grandparents’ house, where there were so many neat locations. McKenna’s grandma collects antiques, so she had some fun chairs to use, too! These pictures just make me smile. McKenna is such a sweet little angel. In fact, in most of the pictures where she is smiling so big, she had just said “I love Jesus!”…talk about melt your heart! And those bright blue EYES are to DIE for!
